How To Prepare For Detoxing + FREE Rain Barrel Effect Book + Getting Excited For Our Community Launch Monday

Published over 2 years ago • 7 min read

Hi friends!

O my goodness WE ARE SO EXCITED for next week! Not only for the launch of our community on Monday, but for our IG ‘live’ with Dr. Cabral on Tuesday at 1pm PST to talk about our upcoming detox and get your questions answered. If you miss it, I’ll be posting it to my IG feed and sharing the video link in the newsletter after the live!

With our detox starting on the 31st, (check out our last newsletter if you missed all the info on this), we have had countless questions come in. We are going to answer several of them below, but are also saving some to ask Dr. Cabral!

You can also read through the detox FAQ’s here, and we will have more available inside the community once it opens.

We have something REALLY big to announce tomorrow on IG! Something that will make this community even more powerful and allow us to help more people. I’ll be posting about it tomorrow :).

If you’re here for this….buckle up… it’s a long email with tons of info :) Here’s what you’ll find in this email…

  • What to expect with our community launch and month 1
  • What’s the difference between a detox and a cleanse?
  • What can you expect from the detox?
  • What are some of the most important things to know going into the detox?
  • Simple ways to prepare your body for detoxing
  • What we will be diving into next week
  • Grab your FREE copy(just pay shipping) of The Rain Barrel Effect by Dr. Cabral. Learn everything you need to know about the DESTRESS protocol, how to detox every aspect of your life, and how to heal yourself and your family in an easily digestible book. We consider this a must read, and is an INCREDIBLE way to kick start your time inside our community and accelerate healing.

What To Expect From Our Community In Month 1

The response to the upcoming launch of our new community has been so incredible, but we ask that you are patient with us. This is all brand new, a new platform most of you (and us) haven’t used, and we are learning as we go! We want to provide the best experience we can, but as you can imagine, launching something this big will undoubtedly have some bumps along the way.

Our community moderators will be doing the best they can to answer questions, and we will have a section just as you enter with rules and instructions. But if 5000 people ask our IHPs questions on day 1, it will take them a month to respond. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE visit our FAQ section before reaching out to our IHPs.

We will be sending out an email Monday or Tuesday with how to enter the community platform (you need an invite), where to download the app on your phone (or computer) and create an account. Once you do, you can read through our welcome section, rules, and introduce yourself!

Month one is all about getting situated and going through our detox…but even if you aren’t going through the detox with us, we want to help you move forward on your health journey.

During the detox, we will provide recipe ideas, daily motivation, support from IHPs with lots of experience with this detox, and a place for you to chat and engage with others going through the same thing you are.

It’s our goal to help you go from where you are now (whatever season you’re in), to where you want to be. Everyone’s path is different, but what most people are missing are the foundations, steps to move forward in the right sequence and help to do it all.

So on top of the detox we’re going to start with the basics, help you create healthy habits, and make sure you have the foundations set before we dive deeper into healing.

If you don’t have the foundations, reaching your wellness potential is almost impossible.

You can also jump into any of these chatrooms!

  • Detox chat
  • Foundations chat
  • Gut Health Chat
  • Lyme chat
  • Mold chat
  • Motherhood - pregnancy & postpartum chat

We will send over all the details on Monday!

What’s The Difference Between A Detox And A Cleanse?

A detox is all about cleaning out the liver, blood, and your tissues of toxic waste. It’s about opening up your detox pathways to allow more bile flow, easier and more efficient elimination of toxins on a daily basis, and releasing toxins that have been stored in tissues for years. The liver is SUCH an important organ and is often overlooked, but along with the gut, is pivotal to all healing and long term health.

A cleanse is all about cleaning out the gut. As we mentioned in our last email, there is a very specific order in which you want to go through protocols, and opening up detox pathways is essential to successfully healing the gut.

A detox is first….BUT, that doesn’t mean it isn’t REALLY beneficial to improve gut function before starting a detox. While we will be diving into gut cleansing in months 2-3, we still want to help you get things moving BEFORE the detox so that you can experience the most benefit. More on that below.

Make sure to order your detox here so it arrives before the 31st so you can start with us! Code YORIZE for 20% off.

What Can You Expect From The Detox?

  • You can expect to be hungry from time to time.
  • You can expect to be grumpy, moody, emotional, tired and angry along with symptoms of detoxing including headaches.
  • You can expect to have your entire view of food change after the first week.
  • You can expect to have a significant reduction in gut symptoms.
  • You can expect to lose your cravings for unhealthy food.
  • You can expect to start enjoying the taste of fruits and veggies more.
  • You can expect to feel very clear headed and relaxed after the first few days.
  • You can expect to lose weight - you will lose toxic water weight. When you release toxins stored in tissues, fat cells shrink. For those who DON’T want to lose weight, there are alterations to the food plan that you can make - we will send out more info on this next week.
  • You can expect to experience some symptoms of detox. This is very normal, but can be minimized with the right preparation! More info on how to PREPARE your body to detox in the coming week.
  • You can expect to have some withdrawals from processed sugar and coffee (if you drink it). Some people continue to drink a small amount of coffee during the detox to alleviate their withdrawal symptoms.
  • Most people see improvements in all areas of their health, mood, energy and skin.
  • When you’ve finished, you can expect your body to be READY to take on the next phase of healing!

What are some of the most important things to know going into a detox?

  • BE KIND TO YOURSELF!!! This is NOT a way to punish your body or “diet”. This is a detox and this isn’t easy or comfortable.
  • Having a positive mindset & being open to healing is essential
  • Everyone is a bio-individual and will react differently to the detox
  • Food prep and planning are going to be key - the detox comes with a shopping list, so just make sure you are well stocked! We will provide recipe ideas :)
  • It’s important to do some PREP beforehand to get your body ready to detox.

Simple Ways To Prep Your Body To Detox

We want to make sure your body is prepared for the healing journey we’re about to take you on! Your internal ecosystem is as unique as a snowflake, and we will ALL react differently. Our job is to prepare you for healing. That means helping you open up detox pathways!

Here are some simple things you can do to start that process! Even if you AREN’T doing the detox, we recommend starting on these as soon as you can to start to clean and balance your ecosystem.

1. First thing when you wake up (after brushing your teeth), have a large glass of warm water with lemon and a small pinch of himalayan sea salt or Real mineral salt.

  • You can buy glass bottles of organic lemon juice at most stores. We recommend Redmond salt as unlike most of the salt on earth (even himalayan), Redmond’s is sourced from an underground reserve that was created BEFORE plastics existed…so their salt is microplastic and toxin free! Code ANGI for a discount!
  • Lemon is incredibly powerful and gentle for opening up detox pathways, but also stimulating bowel flow. Keeping your bowels moving 2+ times a day is optimal.

2. Start moving! Before you even start with an exercise or fitness routine, it’s important to walk, stretch, dance or do squats in your kitchen. Stagnation brews dis-ease.

3. Buy a dry brush and start using it everyday. This is an inexpensive and at home way to help stimulate lymphatic movement, increases circulation, improves your skin’s ability to detox, and mobilizes toxins. Save 10% with code ANGI10.

4. Get sweating! Whether you already exercise or are lucky enough to have an infrared sauna at home, let’s kick up the sweating! The sauna will get to a deeper level of toxins than exercise does, but start getting your body used to eliminating toxins!

There are many things you can do, but we don’t want to overwhelm you, so thought starting slow was the best option! Focus on getting these 4 new habits moving, and next week we will add a few more!

What we will be diving into next week

  • Do’s and don’ts of the detox
  • Foods you can and shouldn’t eat
  • How to maximize your detox and community experience
  • More ways to prep your body for detoxing & opening drainage pathways.
  • More detox FAQ’s

Hi friends, This Hallmark holiday / day set aside to celebrate Mothers has a lot of emotion attached to it. And for good reason. Every single human on earth has a connection to their “mother”. And we all deal with it in different ways. Since most of you follow me on IG and have been with me through the journey of losing my earthly mother I don’t have to say a lot here. My heart is with everyone who has lost a mother, who longs to be a mother, who can’t acknowledge their mother, who is...

Hi friends! If you follow us on social media you know that Arlynd got a piece of fiberglass in his eye this weekend, and it was a really difficult process that ended in the ER. Eye scratches and injuries are scary and sooo painful! Seeing my ROCK in so much discomfort and feeling helpless was heartbreaking to say the least! So many of you reached out with sincere prayers and words of encouragement and we cannot say how thankful we are for this incredible community that feels like an extended...
